Fundraising
As your hosts at Fraser Coast RV Park, we share a passion for fundraising. Paul & I met on the Black Dog Ride raising funds and awareness for mens mental health and suicide awareness.
We raised over $4000 for the Leukemia Foundation after we shaved our heads at the River Heads Hall in March 2020.
We have been involved with the Just 4 Kids Childrens Charity since 2015 and continue to support this worthwhile cause which raises vital funds for disadvantaged children in outback and rural areas.
Our recycling goes to the Just 4 Kids Childrens Charity and you can find out more information about their latest 4WD tag-along tours by visiting the page dedicated to them.
Our recent fundraising weekend held by Mr Buckeroonie raised over $1500 for Just 4 Kids.
Mr Buckeroonie group visited us and we raised a staggering $11,500 with the support of everyone involved. It was a remarkable effort by everyone concerned and there was so much generousity of spirit amongst these beautiful people. $5000 went to the Nikenbah Animal Shelter in Hervey Bay and $5000 went to Community Flights.
The River Heads Community came together for a Family Fun Day at the River Heads Reserve in Seafarer Drive to raise funds for Community Flights.
We had a sausage sizzle and a raffle and raised over $1000 for this worthwhile cause. Thanks to Channel 7 for the use of their marquee.
Still waiting for Sam Mac to come and visit River Heads. Thanks to Peter Dore Photography for the image supplied.
Check out the prizes on offer at the Monster Raffle drawn on 20 July 2024 at River Heads Rocks with all proceeds going to Community Flights.
River Heads Open Mic commenced in October 2020 at River Heads Progress Association Hall. Many hours were volunteered to bring live musicians together to perform and hone their skills. We are proud to be able to support live music and fundraise for the RHPA and Just 4 Kids and White Ribbon and Community Flights during these events.
River Heads Rocks is showcasing local talent and fundraising for our favourite charities. We raised $4000 for Community Flights at River Heads Rocks in 2023. In 2022 we raised over $4000 for Community Flights and in 2021 we raised over $4000 for Just 4 Kids Childrens Charity. We continue to support live music and look forward to growing River Heads Rocks with the support of our wonderful River Heads Community.
Our love of everything creative has seen the development of Art with Music at River Heads Rocks. We were very pleased to welcome the talented Bob Gammage (who has sadly passed away) to River Heads Rocks in 2021. We look forward to continuing to promote live art and music in 2023 when we pay our respects to the talented Bob Gammage. We are proposing to invite guests for free who are proud owners of one of his masterpieces and display on the walls of our Bush Stage. This will culminate in a slide show and tribute to him.
The River Heads Markets were established in February 2022 at the River Heads Park next to the Hall. All proceeds from the stall holders are going to the River Heads Progress Association.
Once again, thank you to Channel 7 for the use of your marquee.
The initial concept was to celebrate creative local art with music, with the slogan “supporting creative locals”
It’s In the Bag – November 2022
Fraser Coast RV Park is getting involved in the ‘It’s In the Bag’ annual event in November 2022. It is great to be able to donate to this worthy cause, but Fraser Coast RV Park are going to run a workshop for all the people who love to sew! We will be holding a series of workshops to design and make shoulder bags in the weeks leading up to November 18. More details soon.
#ItsInTheBag is Share the Dignity’s annual event where we encourage everyday Australians to donate a bag to someone in need for Christmas. The bags are filled with essential items and are distributed to 3,000 Australian charities that have registered with us. Collections for 2022 will be open from November 18-27.
