VIX & THE SLICK CHIX – Hailing from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, this all-female Blues band, delivers an onstage vibe that is purely contagious.
Their recipe for the Blues is One part Chicago, a few drops of Soul, a good dash of Gospel & a little pinch of Country. They serve it up HOT, with a BIG sound & a Double helping of Joy!
With a passion for the genre that is clearly evident in every performance ‘The Chix’ mine every last ounce of emotion from some of the greatest blues tunes ever written. Coupling that with some tasty original tunes that sit along side the classics with ease, is what makes this one Crowd-Pleasing, Foot-Stomping Blues band NOT to be missed!
The band is driven by the smokey powerhouse vocals of Vix, who The Courier Mail called an “accomplished Blues Aficionado, with a huge presence and a voice to match”. Coupled with the sweet & melodic harmonies from Bass Player, Aleathea Monsour, the girls create a vocal landscape that can melt the hardest of hearts!
Joining Aleathea in setting the rhythmic grooves & filling out the vocal harmonies is Drummer, Nicole Perry, whose history in the music industry is too vast to list. From the outset, her years of experience shine through and it’s more than evident that she has some serious percussive chops and can match it with the best of them.
In 2021 ‘The Chix’ expanded from a 3 piece to a 4 piece line up by enlisting the talents of Mana Eshragh Tabari, who’s wailing Harmonica licks have added a rich new dimension to the bands sound.
With their tight grooves, dynamic vocals & upbeat style, these four passionate Blues women bring an energy that’s guaranteed to raise the spirits and fill the dance floor!! If you are a blues fan & you’ve never experienced ‘The Slick Chix’ Live show….. you don’t wanna miss this!
Olivia Ruth – Delivering electrifying performances packed with raw emotion and musical finesse. Fronted by an unforgettable voice, Olivia Ruth’s epic vocals span from gritty, soul-drenched screams to delicate falsetto and whistle tones that leave audiences stunned.
Their sound blends the smoky depth of classic blues, the swagger of funk, and the high-octane energy of rock, laced with metal-influenced drums and slick, blues-inspired guitar solos. Topped off with deep, infectious bass grooves, every Olivia Ruth set is a dynamic journey; equal parts soulful, heavy, and irresistibly groovy.
Whether on festival stages or in intimate venues, Olivia Ruth doesn’t just perform, they erupt. With a growing reputation across the Aussie music scene, the band continues to carve their name into the hearts of fans who crave authenticity, intensity, and a damn good time.
LiNi is an indie-folk duo built on harmony, storytelling, and emotional honesty. Stripped back to two acoustic guitars, stomp box, and powerful intertwining vocals, their performances are intimate, dramatic, and deeply human.
Both seasoned musicians, Nick and Liv have toured extensively across Australia and the UK in previous projects, but LiNi marks a return to the essence of song — where lyrics matter, silence carries weight, and harmony tells the story. Their debut at Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival earned three standing ovations, with audiences visibly moved by the vulnerability and authenticity of their set.
Drawing from Scottish roots and folk tradition, infused with the soul of the blues, LiNi craft songs that honour the past while embracing dynamic, modern expression. Two voices. Two guitars. Two big hearts.
Sugar Game are a Gold Coast based blues-rock band cutting a line between blues tradition and modern roots rock. Built on groove, space and dynamics, their sound values tension and release over flash, letting feel, timing and attitude drive the music.
Fronted by Rebecca Muino, whose vocal style blends warmth with grit and control, the band is powered by expressive guitar work and a rock-solid rhythm section. The result is a sound that’s raw, tight and unapologetically rooted, yet unmistakably current.
On stage, Sugar Game are direct and present. Their songs are written to move, stretching, locking in and reacting to the room. Whether in sweaty pub rooms or on open-air festival stages, they deliver sets where musicianship hits hard and connection runs deep.
