Salt & Steel

Salt & Steel bring the fire. A two-piece powerhouse with a sound steeped in earthy tones and rooted in the raw forces of nature, they are a fierce rock act with a heavy, driving impact. Delivering an untameable stage energy, their explosive live show turns a lifetime of grit on the road into a must-see festival experience – sharing main stages with heavyweights like Wheatus, Wolfmother, The Superjesus, and Pierce Brothers.

THE SHORT STORY

For Briony Edgar and Elle Steele, life happens on the road. In 2013, they quit their jobs, sold their belongings, and bought a van to chase a life of no fixed plans. When their car broke down in the
middle of a freezing New Zealand winter, they took to the streets to busk out of sheer survival.
They fell in love with the raw connection of live performance, cementing their path forward.
For nearly 14 years, the road has been their home. Every desert storm, sunrise, and midnight jam session under the stars fuels the explosive live show they’ve taken across Australia and the world.
It is a story of grit, independence, and an uncompromising dedication to their craft.
