Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world stretching 123km long and spans 166,000 hectares. This world heritage listed Island is a must see place to visit when you are on the Fraser Coast. Spectacular rainforests, over 100 fresh water lakes to explore including the iconic Lake McKenzie. (you know, the one you see on all the travel brochures). There is so much to see and do and the Island is so huge, you need at least a week to explore. Why not go over and leave your van here. Relax for a few days before heading over and then relax on your way home. A remarkable place, one for the bucket list.
