Presented by Lyle Goschnick – Is Lyle famous ? – No
Is he one of the best guitarists and vocalists in the country ? – Not even close
BUT
He did his first paid gig with a band on New Years Eve 1969 at age 14, and kept gigging for 54 years, doing over 2,000 gigs, while meeting and working with people who were famous, and overall having one hell of a good time.
Since his first gig in 1969, Lyle has contributed to the music industry both as a performer and since the year 2000, as a sound engineer.
The largest audience he’s played to was over 10,000, at an outdoor concert and the smallest was 3 (one of whom was the Bass Player’s wife).
As a Performer, over the years, Lyle has worked in a number of bands, always as Lead Vocalist, while also playing lead or rhythm guitar.
As a musician, his performances have included:
Opening for “Little River Band”
Headlining the Bribie Island Festival with band “Rip van Winkle” (2,500 people)
Opening for “Ganggajang”
Performing at the Moreton Bay Seafood Festival (4,000 people)
Headlining the Australian / Italian Festival in 2005 (10,000 people)
Playing various corporate gigs at the Sheraton Brisbane
Ballroom and various Gold Coast Resorts
Hundreds of pub & club gigs and other functions, mainly throughout Queensland
As a Sound Engineer, his experiences have included:
Working closely with Producer and Promoter Robbie Porter
on the “Rockstars” TV documentary – 7 stages filmed and
recorded at Dreamworld plus a huge final Function in the
“Big Brother” Auditorium.
Fortitude Valley Multicultural Festival – 4 stages with 40+ performances
Moreton Bay Seafood Festival – Main stage
Redlands Spring Festival for three years – 6 stages
Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Special Children’s Christmas Party (audience of 3,000)

Lyle has tried to retire from the industry, but he always comes back. Music is in his blood.
